I'm glad this year is ending and I'm liking Stephen King's concept of time in "The Langoliers" more and more wherein each day literally dies when it's through. This is a year that needs to die. Yeah, I think that's appropriate. Still, 2003 is ending with a bang. Several of our friends and relatives have learned of our financial setbacks and have come to our rescue for Christmas. Liam is going to be BOMBARDED with some very cool gifts and one of my friends really came through for me and got me... are you ready? An Xbox. Talk about turning my holiday frown upside-down. He works for CompUSA and gets some mad discounts and bonuses so it didn't cost him much otherwise I would never have let him do that. All told, Liam is going to have about a dozen new games, toys and other things before Michelle and I have to spend a penny. For a while there it wasn't looking like there was going to be much of anything under our tree (hence, my desire to not put one up this year, trumped by my wife who just put it up herself) but now it looks like we're going to have things to wrap and we'll get to see our son's eyes light up when he sees all that "Santa" has left for him. A few things have also disappeared from my Amazon list, too so I'm looking forward to a few nice gifts and finding out who sent them... > Just a quick note to wish you all the best this holiday season!
